Cara Jill (Weisberg) Weiss was born in Flushing, New York, with her younger roots in Pennsylvania prior to graduating from the University of Maryland, College Park, in the spring of 1991. In her youth, she gained experience in event leadership, art design, marketing, and event management, including experience in fashion, hotels shopping mall marketing, and public relations marketing. After obtaining her Professional Certification in Event Management from The George Washington University School of Business, she co-founded Save The Date, LLC, in 1995 with her husband, Joel. Since then, the company has grown into an award-winning family-owned event planning company based in the Washington, D.C., area. Cara and her company especially serve Montgomery County, Bethesda, and Potomac. Under Cara’s leadership, the company has consistently earned local accolades, including Best of Bethesda and Best of Jewish Week honors every year from 2012 until the present day. In addition to planning exceptional events for clients, Cara was the Director and Producer for the official Best of Bethesda celebration held in April 2025 and recently added Game Designer to her resume when she sold the rights to her prototype Meet Mahjong to Think Fun/Ravensburger.
